Certificates of Insurance Compliance

Outside parties frequently ask Georgetown to confirm various types and levels of insurance in connection with business agreements by requesting Certificates of Insurance. The Office of Risk Management is able to respond to such requests and can provide evidence of the University’s insurance coverage in the form of a Certificate of Insurance.

For any Certificate of Insurance requirements to an outside party, please complete the below Request Form. The completed form can be sent to riskmanagement@georgetown.edu for processing.

Georgetown requires third party suppliers to confirm various types and levels of insurance in connection with business agreements. Certificates of Insurance should be obtained and provided, upon execution of the business agreement(s), to Georgetown. The Office of Risk Management can help facilitate insurance requirements.

Certificates of Insurance on File

In the event an active Certificate of Insurance is on file with Georgetown, a new Certificate may not be required.

Waivers of Insurance

Georgetown requires all Independent Contractors and Suppliers providing services to carry insurance consistent with the current minimums approved by The Office of Risk Management. If the supplier
requests any insurance requirement coverage be waived, please complete the below form in its entirety, and include with your contract packet submission to the Office of Procurement.
